We understand that its an almost impossible task keeping up to date with the very best in movie news so we will be uploading a roundup of the very best trailers, posters, and tidbits of news to make sure you are ahead of the game.
So to start things off we thought we’d look at some news from Cannes so far as it seems that heart throb Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut has been met with mixed opinions. Lost River opened at Cannes to both applause and boos (something that is not necessarily bad) and has received some scathing reviews already, The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw said “It is colossally indulgent, shapeless, often fantastically and unthinkingly offensive and at all times insufferably conceited” however others have said that for a first time directors it really shows promise, but at 3WM we like to wait and see before we pass judgement and urge you to!
On a slightly lighter note Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy released it’s second trailer this week, the film follows Chris Pratt as Peter Quill as he leads a team of outlaws to rescue the galaxy. The film boasts an eclectic cast with John C. Riley and Glenn Close just some of the big names in the film it will be interesting to see how each get their deserved screen time. Having followed this project since the initial rumours surfaced we are very excited about this one and with eccentric director James Gunn at the helm it could really hold its own against the other Marvel cinematic outings. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
It seems that Comic book adaptions truly are the onlythings being made at the moment (not that we are complaining) and each time they seem to pull in bigger and bigger stars with Oscar Winner Colin Firth in the latest Mark Miller Mathew Vaughn adaptation Kingsman: The Secret Service. The first trailer and poster both have some promise but there is an element of Men In Black here and we are not quite sure what to make of this one, if done correctly it could be good fun and entertaining but if they go down the painful English stereotypes road this could be more painful than all the worse bits of X-Men first class.
JJ Abrams is offering you the chance to have a cameo in Star Wars. Yes you read that right you could be in Star Wars, in the first glimpse of what things are looking like on set Abrams explains how you can enter to become part of cinematic history.
And on that note we’ll wrap it up, a short, sweet round up of some of the most talked about news from around the web so make sure you check back for our next Big News Roundup soon!
